Healing Manor Hotel Champagne tasting evening, March 27 2020

Fine food, fizz and fantastic company is on the menu at Healing Manor Hotel, with special host Christophe Prieux, President of Champagne Maison Gardet

When it comes to the very best, there is a select glut of products that fit the bill. Champagne of course is top of the list, sitting very pretty next to ingredients of unimpeachable quality. And while we are exceedingly lucky to find a plethora of the latter in Lincolnshire, and on our menus here at Healing Manor, Champagne can of course only come from one place.

Thanks to our wonderful suppliers, fantastic food and fizz will come together on March 27th as Healing Manor plays host to Christophe Prieux and a Champagne Tasting Evening. President of Champagne Maison Gardet, Christophe will gently draw guests into the wonderful world of Champagne with tastings along the way accompanied by an eight-course tasting menu beautifully curated by our very own Steven Bennett.

A relaxed yet decadently formal evening, Christophe will be talking guests through the Champagnes produced by Maison Gardet. The house, a medium sized family-owned company which dates back to 1895, produces nine different Champagnes in its complete range, each produced in the most traditional way.

Established in Epernay, the Champagne Gardet brand is dedicated to the traditional methods it was founded on. The family’s love for its land being passed down through generations. Using only the first juice pressing, the cuvee, the greatest care and attention to detail is taken to produce the highest quality products.

When it comes to the food, Healing Manor will be showcasing the very best of what the county’s larder has to offer. Paired perfectly with Champagne Gardet and wines from supplier House of Townend, an indulgent eight-course tasting menu (£80 per person) promises to put Lincolnshire ingredients in the spotlight.

Guests will begin with smoked garlic bread and roast chicken butter, followed by scallops Saint Jacques; Boulangère potatoes, shallots, barbecued potato espuma; ‘French onion soup’ beef carpaccio, smoked cucumber, gremolata, cheese fondue; Salmon Mi Cuit with sorrel sauce; white chocolate, pistachio and raspberry Mille-feuille; tart au citron, lemon curd and Champagne sorbet; with a chocolate and hazelnut macaron to finish.

Guests can further their experience by opting for Healing Manor’s overnight offer. Stay the night in a double room, executive room, luxury room, or one or Healing Manor’s suites with breakfast the following morning from just £250 per couple (inclusive of ticket price for the evening).

Over-the-top? Definitely not. Indulgent? Absolutely.
