Our farm shop is situated in High Toynton, in the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds.
We specialize in breeding and rearing rare-breed Berkshire pork, traditional lamb and free-range chickens. We also produce free-range eggs and provide a range of locally-produced organic vegetables.
Our farm shop gives our customers the opportunity to purchase healthy wholesome food direct from the farm, where you can meet Richard and Sue (the owners who produce the meats and vegetables we offer, using traditional methods of growing and harvesting), and most importantly, see exactly where your food is coming from.
Our family farm in High Toynton (on the edge of Horncastle) was bought in the 1950s, when we used to farm cattle, sheep and cereals. Although we've kept the same farming practices, we now have a range of livestock, poultry and vegetables.
Since opening the shop in 2000, all of our produce has been supplied through our shop, as we feel this is the best way to communicate to consumers the provenance of what they eat.
The farm is run daily by Richard and Sue. On the drive down to the shop you will see our various animals wandering around the fields; from chickens to pigs, and from sheep to turkeys.
We harvest our vegetables daily to ensure freshness, and only supply seasonal fruit and vegetables.
In 2009 we were featured on the BBC's Countryfile, when Matt Baker came to learn about rearing turkeys. The BBC crew were with us for a full day, and Richard was featured on a pre-Christmas episode.
Christmas is a very busy time for us, as we produce our own free range Bronze turkeys which are available to buy from the farm shop. Please call us if you'd like to order your Christmas meat and vegetables from Field Farm.
