Primrose Free Range Eggs is a family business run by Stephen and Julie Rhodes and their son Robert producing finest quality free range eggs at Primrose Hill Farm, Wragby, Lincolnshire.
Primrose Hill Farm has three hen houses. Our first house was built in 2005 with two others following on in 2007. This allows a continuous supply of fresh free range eggs.
The birds have unrestricted movement within the shed, with food and water on continuous supply and access to areas to scratch and dust bathe and perches. All the hens are free to roam outside on fresh pasture planted with native trees.
All the hens are secure and safe from predators and are locked away safely at night.
Primrose Free Range Eggs are assured under the RSPCA Freedom Food Scheme, which ensures that the highest standards of welfare, hygiene and environmental practices are in place and monitored.
We are also members of Select Lincolnshire and Tastes of Lincolnshire
We supply all areas of the food industry - wholesale, catering and retail outlets.
Our eggs are fully accredited to the RSPCA Freedom Food Scheme, which ensures the highest standards of both welfare and production methods are maintained. All the hens are fed on high quality, feed and the green grass of Lincolnshire.
Today, our commitment to quality means that in addition to our own high standards our eggs are laid by hens which are protected by the five freedoms:
Our own packing station at Primrose Hill Farm is fully accredited and regularly audited to the RSPCA Freedom Food Scheme. We are also regularly inspected and reviewed by our local authority’s environmental health department and DEFRA’s Egg Inspectorate incorporating the evaluation of food hygiene practices and Salmonella testing scheme.
We only select top quality free range eggs allowing you the opportunity to purchase fresh free range eggs direct from the producer.
The majority of our eggs are picked, stamped, hand graded and packed on the same day they are laid allowing you the opportunity to purchase fresh free range Grade A eggs with a 28 day shelf life. Thus ensuring quality control measures are in place on a daily basis.
