Quarterly Economic Survey more important than ever

Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce are encouraging local businesses to fill out the Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) saying it’s more important than ever before.

Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive of Lincolnshire Chamber, expressed: “There is no denying that the entire county has felt and will continue to feel the impact of this crisis. It has caused a seismic shock on our economy and it is more significant than ever before that we gain vital intelligence from local businesses.

“We appreciate there has been lots of surveys happening, but the data we’ll gain from this will be the first major comparison from pre-Coronavirus conditions to the current situation.”

The survey, which is undertaken by British Chambers of Commerce, acts as a voice for Lincolnshire nationally and is seen by Senior Officials at Downing Street, as well as local and national government, HM Treasury and the Bank of England’s monetary committee.

"The data we’ll gain from this will be the first major comparison from pre-Coronavirus conditions to the current situation."

The UK’s largest independent business survey which asks a series of questions regarding recruitment, finances, employment, sales and orders, confidence, difficulties, among others.

Quarter 2 of the survey is now live and will remain open until Monday 8th June, the survey only takes 2-3 minutes to fill in and can be completed by businesses of any size, including sole traders, charities, public corporations and multi-national companies.

“We understand this has been devastating for so many businesses, as a Chamber we will continue to support our business community and, now more than ever we need to continue working together and supporting each other to overcome these challenges we are all facing and help Lincolnshire thrive once more,” concluded Simon.
